Callaway County celebrates 200 years of community with a free bicentennial bash on Saturday, May 30, 2020. The morning begins with a farmers market. Mid-morning, kids games and competitions kickoff with a kids bicycle parade. The Fulton Street Fair will host a cornhole tournament, as well. Enjoy the “Made in Callaway” artisan and product showcase, while Brick District merchants host demos and DIY activities. The morning walking history tours ends at the National Churchill Museum, which offers free admission for all. Listen to Bluegrass and buskers (street musicians) at intervals throughout the day. The afternoon walking tour ends at the Brick District Playhouse where you can take in an afternoon showing of the movie Kings Row in a 1920’s theatre. The event caps off with a FREE CONCERT by Grammy-winning country band SHENANDOAH! Beer garden and food trucks available for purchase.
