Find February Fun All Month Long in Fulton & Callaway County

Cabin fever starts to set in during the month February. How can such a short month feel so long? Luckily Fulton & Callaway County has plenty of reasons to bundle up and get out of the house. From murder mysteries to chocolate crawls; art classes to paint balls, we make February fun for all!

Get artsy at Garriott Porter Art Studio & Gallery, in Fulton’s downtown Brick District.

Feb. 3, 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Meet the February featured artist during a reception for artist/writer/poet Clarence Wolfshohl, with the artist talk at 5:30 p.m.

  • Feb. 9: Get creative painting wine glasses with Charla Fashing. Appetizers, sweets and beverages served. Ages 18+.

  • Feb. 17, 2 p.m.-4 p.m.: Adult Fun Paint Night at Garriott Porter Gallery. Create an acrylic painting, Waterfall Paradise, with Mary Garcia. $35/person.

  • Feb. 22, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.: Introduction to Life Coaching & Neurographic Art.
    Relieve stress and become more open to positivity through art, guided by certified instructor Inessa Morlock. Ages 12+.

  • Feb. 24, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.: Watercolor Explorations Painting, Creating Textures
    Bring an 8.5x11 inch enlarged inspiration photo for a painting session guided by Lynn Garriott Porter. Paint for the full day for $60 or choose a half day (9 a.m.-noon or 1 p.m.-4 p.m.) for $45. Ages 12+.

  • Feb. 27, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Zentangle with Marta. Instructor Marta Carpenter will teach four tangle designs & create a Zentangle-inspired piece using those designs. Ages teen to adults.

Looking for something a bit fantastical? How about a masquerade ball?
Feb. 3, 7 p.m.-11:59 p.m. Central Missouri Renaissance Festival Annual Winter Masquerade Ball . Ancient Celtic & Viking lore rule this night. Dress in your finest for the return of the light. Dancing (with waltz lessons), cash bar, free soft drinks and a silent auction are planned. Held at the Fulton Event Center, tickets are $35/person or $60 for two people. Ages 21+.

Feb. 7, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Planet Jazz at Brooklyn Pizza, Fulton Brick District. Enjoy an authentic Brooklyn-style pizza, red checkered tables and live music.

Feb. 9, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Summer Sausage Making 101, Fulton Wurst Haus. Learn, hands-on, the German tradition of summer sausage making from three-time Hall of Fame Wurstmeister Mike Sloan. This event is by reservation only; call 573-642-7844 to reserve your spot.

Feb. 10, 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Serenity Valley Winery’s Valentine’s Day Wine Pairing event features select wines paired with yummy treats. Chose from one of three one-hour time slots. Each hour session is limited to 16 people. Reserve tickets at 573-642-6958. Later that evening enjoy live music C. Rock City starting at 5:00 p.m. in Serenity Valley’s heated heated tent.

Feb. 10, 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Indulge your artistic side at the Valentine’s Day Paint at GoPo Gourmet Popcorn. Purchase your tickets from GoPo in advance or at the counter day-of.

Feb. 15, 4 p.m.-7 p.m. – Galentine’s Day in the Brick District. Visit local businesses to sample chocolate treats and specialty drinks, shop deals and enter a drawing for one of four $25 Brick District Gift Certificates.  If you visit all participating businesses, you will be entered into a drawing for one of two $50 Brick District Gift Certificates.

Feb. 22, 5 p.m.-10 p.m. The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Murder at Canterbury Hill Winery and Restaurant in Holts Summit. Participate in a night of dining with a side of murder mystery, featuring pork schnitzel with noodles and crisp apple strudel.

Feb. 22-24: Experience “The Revolutionists” presented Mainstage by William Woods University Theatre Department. Four beautiful, badass women lose their heads in this irreverent, girl-powered comedy set during the French Revolution & Reign of Terror. Show times 7:30 p.m. nightly, 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday in Dulaney Auditorium.

Need something a bit more physical? How about some friendly competition at Battle Creek Paintball in Kingdom City with indoor rage rooms, axe throwing and escape rooms?
